Have a question about Porch + Hall's interior and exterior mats? Here are our most frequently asked questions.

How do I clean The Outsider?

For the frame: wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or furniture waxes/polishes.

For the insert: it takes its job of absorbing water seriously! If directly exposed to a serious downpour, the insert will dry out more quickly if it is taken out of frame and placed on its side for the water to run off.

Special note for freezing rain/ice/snow: as with any freezing conditions, the Outsider can become slippery. We recommend only using The Outsider in outdoor protected areas for snow and ice conditions.

Are custom sizes available?

We do not currently offer custom sizes.

Do I have to buy the Insert and the frame together for The Outsider?

To insure the upmost safety of our product, we sell the insert and frame together. We do not recommend inserting any other insert into The Outsider frame.

Can I order additional inserts for The Outsider?

Stay tuned! At this time, we are not selling inserts separately. Our goal at P+H is to develop a line of additional inserts for a change of season, change of holiday or just a change of mood!

How thick is the Outsider? What door clearance do I need for it to fit under my door?

The Outsider overall height is 1”. We recommend a clearance of 1¼” underneath the door.

Can The Outsider be used in an exterior location that isn’t covered?

Yes, with a few considerations for extreme weather. We have designed The Outsider to withstand the abuse of the elements. However, some additional care should be taken if the mat is directly exposed to extreme weather.

How do I clean The Insider?

Our preferred method is to spot clean with mild detergent (no bleach), wash or hose down, hang to dry.

Can I vacuum the Insider?

Our preferred method is to shake out the mat. If vacuuming, be sure to adjust settings so the rotating brushes are on higher setting to prevent fiber damage or fraying from the beater bar.

Can the Insider be placed on top of carpets?

Yes, but the Insider is designed for direct contact with hard flooring surfaces and this is not our recommended use.

Is the non-slip backing on the Insider safe for hardwood floors?

Yes. The base layer is made from a thermoplastic material which, unlike rubber, will not transfer to wood floors.

How thick is the Insider? What clearance do I need for it to fit under the door?

With an incredibly minimal pile height, The Insider line can fit under most doors easily. But it never hurts to check! The height (or thickness) is 0.2''. We recommend a door clearance of ½”.

What is your return/exchange policy?

P+H wants our customers to be completely happy with their purchase. We will accept returns within thirty (30) days of order placement for a full refund. Goods must be returned unused in original packaging. Shipping charges will be deducted from the original form of payment. If you need to return an item, please email us at returns@porchandhall.com with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.

How do I return an item?

Please email us at returns@porchandhall.com with your order number and we can email you a prepaid UPS shipping label to be printed at home. If you don’t have access to a printer please provide a mailing address so we can mail it to you.

How do I obtain a tracking number for my order?

Once an order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.

Do you ship internationally?

We do not currently ship to international destinations.

How much does shipping cost?

Our current shipping cost is a $10 flat fee.

Where can I buy your products?

P+H currently sells inclusively through our website www.porchandhall.com

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal.
